This is Jeff of the Orloff party from Cabin # 6. I just woke up after a very long day, and realized that I am not at Booi's Island.... what a bummer! I sure wish that we were still there battling the big fish.
Anyway, I just wanted to say that the trip to Boois Island was fantastic. First and foremost, your staff is top notch. My personal favorites were Mike and Sarah, Richard, Cass and Sheldon, and Joyce. Each of these people played a key role each day in answering key questions, pointing us in the right direction, and providing a daily smile.
Second, we were very pleased with the quality and the quantity of the fishing experience. Jim said fishing wasn't premium this week but yet everyone in the group caught big fish. My best fish were a 34" Northern right off the dock and a 26.5" Walleye back in Long Channel, but several other fish topped mine in our group. Don had a 36" Northern and a 27" Walleye, Joel had a 38" Northern and Tom had a 39.5" Northern and a 36", 18# Laker. Very nice! We talked highly of the experience the entire way home and decided that we will definitely return sooner than later.
(I was actually thinking of moving in? Need another son? ;-)
Third, the accommodations were very nice. The cabin was clean, spacious and warm, and the beds were very comfortable.
Last but not least, the two meals that we had with the group in the dining room were fantastic. Steak night was delicious and the Ribs on Thursday night were perfect. I can't say enough about the experience.
Please thank the staff for all of us again. We really enjoyed ourselves.

Booi Island Guest First Time 2004

We left kind of quick with the plane and I didn't get a chance to say goodbye. We had a great time the entire week. Dave and I have been on a lot of fishing trips together over the past 30 years and we both agreed that this was the best Walleye fishing we'd ever had-size being the big deal. One afternoon we caught about 80 Walleyes and the smallest one was 18"!! We had a monster Northern come up and make off with one of them- line and all. On the last afternoon we did especially well on Walleyes staying close to the Lodge and also released a 40" Northern. The accommodations were far above what we're accustomed to on fishing trips and I appreciated all the help from Jim arranging the brake work on my plane in Red Lake (he just added fluid by the way Jim). That was the coolest being able to fly direct and put down at the Lodge. We were back in central Minnesota by 1:00 that day! We have another trip in two weeks and will talk about booking a trip with you for next year.

Hope all is well with you, Jim, and the crew at Booi's. We really, really enjoyed our time on your beautiful island and peaceful lake. Amazing, all the amenities of a drive-to, hard to believe it's a fly-in only. The staff is professional, and everyone treats you like family. I've already booked a return trip; same time next year.
The week I spent at Booi's was my best Canadian experience to date. Thank you!

As usual, we really hated to see our stay come to an end. You guys really put together a class act and make each of our visits memorable ones. I wish that we had more time to spend together. We'll miss you...until next year!
